El Potro Mexican Restaurant

This is a wonderful Mexican restaurant. The food here is delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly. They didn't rush our party during dinner. The restaurant was well lit and very clean. The food was full of flavor and enjoyed by everyone. We can't wait to visit again in the future!

Great food, unique flavors, free queso, and lots of chips and salsa. Can't go wrong. Great pricing and free ice cream for the kiddos.

Came here for the first time with family for a birthday party. All I can say is I wish I lived closer to this restaurant cuz I would go often. This is definitely my new favorite Mexican restaurant in this city. The customer service was outstanding. Our waitress did an amazing job keeping up with a group of 10. She was on top of it bringing the drinks before they were even finished, so amazed by her! My food was absolutely delicious. I had chicken fajitas and they were so good. The only negative is I wasn't a big fan of the salsa but I was surprised at the fact that they give you queso dip along with salsa for your chips. What other Mexican restaurant includes queso with the chips and salsa? The drink that I had was at sangria Margarita. Two of my favorite drinks put together and hands down, one of the best I've ever tasted. I cannot wait to go back and try some other things on the menu. Everyone's food looked so good at our table. We had two birthdays at our table and they even came out to sing to them. The birthday boy in our group is a vegetarian and this is his favorite restaurant so they do provide several options for vegetarians. Also, another person in our group has some dietary restrictions and they accommodated her by not adding seasoning to her grilled chicken. Definitely will be back to eat here again!!!

Great bang for the buck restaurant. Large portions. The complementary chips, salsa, and queso was unexpected and tasty.The steak fajitas were tender but could use some extra spice. Just needed the guac and salsa.The wife had the eggs and barbacoa. Too much for her to eat.

This place was busy so I had to try it. Was driving thru and stopped to eat. When I saw this place so busy I figured everything had to be fresh and not sitting. Service was quick and the food was good. I love how they bring free chips and salsa and some whit queso dip, that’s a first normally it’s just salsa. Ordered their house margarita the large one and a barbacoa burrito and a flan at the end. Everything was excellent, the flan was huge. I would come back again.

Incredible experience. Food was outstanding, our server (Maria) and staff were exceptional, and the prices were reasonable. Stopped here on our way back to Ohio, and now I wish we were staying in Kan City longer.Everyone in my party loved their food, AND as soon as we sat down we had a bowl of chips, four separate salsa bowls, and a bowl of complimentary queso. Did I mention our server Maria was awesome? Food came out lightning-fast also. Do yourself a favor and go.

We were in town for a show and staying down the street. Stopped by for dinner. They have so many margarita options! I had a sangria margarita, frozen. It was wonderful.Absolutely love that you get their signature queso for no charge. It was great! So were the chips and salsa. I ordered a combo and everything was fantastic. (I got the combo “Mexico City” with a pork tamale, cheese and onion enchilada, and a chile rellenos). I got the borracha beans - holy moly they are delicious. My husband got some sort of smothered burrito and it was delicious as well. The menu is large with plenty of options - so much of it looked awesome.I definitely recommend this place. I seen they also have other locations. We will be back!

Food was good, there are a couple things I've had better in other places but it was very good overall. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area. The service was on top of it though. She had a smile was there every second that I needed something. And the atmosphere was a lot of fun.
